Mr. Bd Hddinger, 9941 Plores 3treet, and Mr. R. E. Harris, 9961 Plores Street, appeared be- fore the Commission in oppoaition to the granting of the variance and stated that thia use they felt was too near their R-1 reai- dential properties. Mr. Harris statcd that they did not need a bar and reataurant in the area and that the petition in favor of the Variance had been signed by owners of commercial property in the area. Mr. Anthony stated that he had contacted everyone • within 300 feet and found that they were aii in iavor and ihat a restaurant and cocktail bar in the area, to aerve the motels, was believed necessary by Lhe moteY owners if they were to aur- vive. Mr. Rnthony also stated that he would be glad to eliminate the liquor store which was requested as pect of the Variance. THR HEARING WAS CIASED.
