Chavos for the Lincoln Park Home Owners spoke against it. She brought up the point that the application was submitted on July 1, 1959, the deadline date for this meeting being June 26, 1959. The home owners knowing it was•not submitted June 26, 1959 thought it would be heard on August 3, 1959. Mr. Gordon Steen, Secretary Pro-Tem, stated there are;occasions when an application will be accepted after the deadline, due to some er.,argency. Mrs. Chavos also stated some Home Owners were not notified of the Hearing. She also stated that this was held last year and there were so many complaints sent to the different City Departmepts we were assured by Mr. Murdoch that if we could bear with it fcr two more days that if they applied again in the future v~e would be heard. Mrs. Chavos also stated that last year they were disturbed by a loud speaker. She also said that the sanitary condit~ons and parking are not good, also the traffic will be very heavy. Mrs. Ward said that she would back up Mrs. Chavos. Mr. Kent said, when they were heard by the Council therp was considerable talk about the protection to the people living to the South of Linbrook; the applicants agreed to spraying the area to lay the dust, and that daily the area would be sprinkled as stated in the application. The applicants are willing to hire additional police protection to guard the exhibitors, visitors, and to patrol traffic. If the City Police are needed they w~ll bear the cost. Mr. Cares was asked about sanitary conditions. He said that the store had rest room facili~Cies ahd that last year the lot was kept vary clean. Mr. Gauer said that a notice was received in the mail and that H. Rohan is in favor of the Special Use Permit. Nlr. Gauer also said what would happen to merchants in the downtown area, if they asked for it, we could not permit it. Linbrook is in a different area. Merchandising is competitive business, but are we unfair. Mr. Mauerhan asked if they had a Parking Plot Plan. Mr. Kent said it takes approximately 200 sq. ft. fnr a Space. ''••` AA70URNED REGULAR 111~ETING - CITY PLANNING COMMISSION = JULY 20, 1959 - CONTINUEDo ~ NORTH EAST ANA}~IM AREA'- Mr: Richard Reese, Assistant Planning Director, prESented the ~ Master Plan for the North East Anaheim Area. l',n investigation was made and found that the area is suited for industrial uses and is now being prepared for those uses by various utility departments. ihe proposed highways and also the ones in , effect were also discussed.
