This highway is presently named Lincoln Avenue, Center Street,.anaheim-Olive ltoad and Santiago Boulevard depend- in~ upon what juri6diction passes thrbugh. This highway also bears the name of Carson in Los Angeles County and is a direct continuation of that route to Orange County. ORANGE COUNTY USB VARIANCH N0. 4459 After considerable discussion by the Commission, a motion was made by Coromissioner Mauerhan, seconded by Commissioner Marcoux and carried that the name Lincoln Avenue be changed from the Anaheim City limits on the west to the present junction of Center Street and Lincoln Ave, at WeSt Street in Anaheim. That Center Street remain as Center Street and that at the Sast end whexe Center Stseet and Anaheim-Olive Road come together that Anaheim-Olive Road be changed to Carson Avenue to the east city limits of Anaheim. Use Variance No. 4459 was forwarded to the Commission by the Orange County Planning Commission. This relates to the proposal to erect a Veterinary Hospital on the north side of Lincoln, approximately 1250 feet east of Gilbert Street. At the time of consideration no buiiding or plot plan was available by the Commission and it appeared that the building to be erected on the property wouid back up to a single family residential tract not be compatible inasmuch as we recently t~xned one down in another commercial zone i^ the city where protests were received from the commercial property owm~:rs on either side of the property under consideration.
