Mr~ Bostwick said he feels this will be a new industry. Our travel trailer spaces will be separate from the big spaces. Mr. Gauer said we don°t want the people in travel trailers to liv~ in ito If they are going to be permanent residents9 or stay longer than 30 days then they should occupy a regular trailer spacea Mr. Bradd said he would like to see the length limitations dropped as they make 21° and 23' trailers just as modern as they do larger ones, and they are adequate for a single occupanto Commissioner Mungall mov~:d that item 37, pa9e 3 be amended to read a trailer which does not remain in any one trailer park longer than thirty (30) days in any six (6) month period. Mr, Geisler explained the process1, which one would have to go through in a case where they were fined, and that it would be a lengthy and expensive process. SECTION 5100.31(b) All the new trailer spaces exceedo The amendments to the county ordinance now~under consideration calls for 3500 sq. fta of site area per treiler spacea THE HEARING WAS CLOSEDo Commissioner Mauerhan made a motion to recommend to the City Council for approval that Section 5100.31 (b) remain as 2450 sqe ft. per space and a minimum lot frontage of 35 ft. The frontage an cul-de-sac lots, however, was to be measured at the building setback 11ne. ' Mr. Bradd mentioned we have from time to time people who are waiting I to get work or buying a house might have more than the correct number ~ in the trailer. , Commissioner Marcoux made a motion to recommend to the City Council for approval that th3s be increased to n00 cu. ft. per oocupant • and that the maximum number of occupants in any trailer not exceed 6 occupants. PAGE 8 8 9 - Mr. Davis, noi;ed that in the morning discussion with Mr. Brown,: SECTION 5100.31 (c) that we had agreed to recommend a change from 14 to 30 days. Mr. Hrown, stated they felt that the 900 sq. ft. provision would be all right, but requested deletion of the minimum width provisiori. Mr. Davis, stated we felt that one overnight space €or travel trailers per 10 permanent spaces was a reasonable ratio, as there would be a problem of what to do with these trailer spaces in off season. and that we would probably be presnred' to permit their rental as . permanent spaces. Commissioner Mauerhan made a motion to recommend to the City Council , for approval that it be raised one over night space for every 5 and delete the 21 feet and include 30 days instead of 14 and that ''the 900 sq. f~. provision remain as written. Commissioner Allred made a motion to recommend to the City Council for approval that Section 5100.33 be amended to read No trailer coach and no building or structures shall be located closer than five feet (5') from the side and rear property lines or side and rear trailer site lot lines. PAGE 14 - Mr. Davis, we have agreed to recommend that this section should SECTIOPI 5120.5 be amended to allow for portable Bar Be CLes under metal awning. PAGE 14 - Mr. Wallace noted that this section is quoted from the State Law, SECTION 5120.4 but that tfieie had been an ommission. Commissioner Mauerhan made a motion to recommend to the City Council, for approval to change Section 5120.4 as reco~rn~+nded by the Building Department and Fire Department. Sec'cion 5120.4 should reaq as followss Awnings shall have at least one (1) side entirely open at all times. Only drops may be used providing they are not permanently anck~ored. No trellis, shrubbery, windbreak, structure or obstruction of•~any type may be closer than three feet (3') of any awning screen.; Open type fly screening may be used to enclose an awning~.pr.oviding all sides of awning remain entirely open at all times. Plans shal~ be submitted for approval of materials and design of construct3on and a permit obtained. i Screen frames shall not be used to support an awning. i. AHSENT: CQMMISSIONERSs DuBois and Hapgood. PAGE 16 - Mr. Davis, stated this had been discussed at the morning meeting and SECTION 5160.1-C we recommend i't be amended in compliance with the State. We will go along with the State standard if it has been changed. Commissioner Mauerhan made a motion to recommend to City Council that if the State Law has been changed that we accept the Siate diange with reference to independent trailers. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Marcoux. The vote on the above resolution ~ras as follows= AYESs COMMISSIONERSs Allred, Gauer, Marcoux, Mauerhan, Morris, Mungall and $wnmers. SECfION 5160.3 Commissior~Er Manerhan made a motion to recommend to City Council for approvai the same as up in C with the State, according to State Standard. SECTION ~160.7 Commissioner Morris made a motion to recommend to City Council for approval, according to State Standard. Ihe motion was seconded by Commissioner Mungall. AHSENTs COMMISSIONERS: DuHois and Hapgood. • PAGE 23 - The trailer park owners thought the fire hydrants arF: fine, but were SECTION 5192.1 against the fire hoses which deteriorate. Mr. Davis said this is a requirement of the State Code. WAIVER CLAUSE - Cammissioner Morris made a motion to recommend to the City Council to incorporate a waiver clause in this ordinance so that minor deviations from this ordinance could be handled administrativly, after finding unusual physical hardship on the property which would make striot application of the property development standards unreasonable. This would eiiminate the necessity of new ordinances and hearings on minor matters. Commissioner Mungall seconded this motion.
