Mr. Steen stated he would recommend the Commission approving this with the filing of a common easement or Mr. McDaniel satisfying our City Attorney with any common easements that are necessary. Mr. Reese stated that Savanna School Distrir.t in June, 1959 requesLed permission from the Commission to allow them to use Lot 19 for access. It was permitted for a walk way. Mr. Reese asked Mr. Geisler if a Public Hearing would be required for iwo 60'x 80'structures, one a warehouse and one a maintenance shop as it is in an R-A Zone? It was mentioned that the school is under State aid. Mr. Geisler stated off hand it is probably the same as State and School Building and are not actually sub3ect to tha control of the Planning Commission or the City Council. Mr. Reese felt a hearirig should be held in regards to the roadway. Commissioner Gauer also thought that was a good idea and suggested that someone from the State be p~esent at the Hearing. Commissioner Allred ctated thdt he ~hought it should be left as a walk way. ORANGE COIJNTY - This rquest is for a small animal hospital. Mr. Steen read the County USE VARIANCE notice to the Commission.It is 200' north of Woodley Ave. No. 4533 The applicant, Dr. Metz, was present. He stated that the wall ia the back is of such a height that if he wanted to add on he could put a roof over it and thus enclose it. The animals will be in the enclosed part of the building. It will be air conditioned and modern in appearance.' Dr. Metz showed pictures of the sub~ect property and also pictures of other pog and Cat hospitals in various locations. He felt that this type of a place should not be placed by a railroad. Dr. Metz read the request to the Planning Commission that he has prepared for the O~ange County Planning Commission. He stated that NI-1 property in Anaheim along a highway is scarce. The dog and cat hospital is not the same as it was 50 years ago. Western Anaheim is in much need for a Dog and Cat Hospital this is not only my opinion but that pf pet owners. Commissioner Allred made a motion to ~ecommend approval to the Orange County Planning~Commission fo~ Orange County Use Variance No. 4533, seconded by Commissioner Marcoux, and carried.
