A RESOLUTION OF THE CIIY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM

WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received a
2 Verified Petition from FIRST SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH, 400 South Palm Street,
A~aheim, California, as owner~. (REV. THOS. G. ASHBY), as Authorized Agent, 214
S Clark /errace~ Anaheim~ California~ of a certain parcel of real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California~ described
4 as follows:
5 Beginning at a point on Broadway bordering the Lincoln School; thence
Northerly 547.79 feet from the center line of Broadway; thence Westerly
6 87-~.- feet; thence Northerly 17 feet; thence Westerly 122~- feet; thence
Southerly 564.79 feet; thence Easterly 210 feet along Broadway to the
7 point of beginning.
8 The applicant requests permission to erect a CHURCH and off-street
parking area which will accommodate from 500 to 600 parishioners.
9 The property is presently zoned as R-1 along Broadway, and the balance
of the rear is R-2.

~HEREAS, The City Planning Co~,ission did hold a Public Hearing at the City
11 Hall in the City of Anaheim~ on Monday, February 21, 1955, NOTICES OF WHICH SAID
PUBLIC HEARING were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
12 ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
13 WHEREAS, Said Commission after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence
14 and reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following:
1. That this location should be suitable for a church.

16 2. It will not be detrimental to the other properties in the area.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED /HAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING CO~f$~ISSION
17 HEREBY RANTS VARIANCE NO. 297, subject to:
18 1. The deeding of 40 feet to the City of Anaheim for the widening of
East Broadway.

2. Engineering requirements, such as curbs and sidewalks~ and the
20 paving from the new curb line to the existing paving.
