A RESOLUTION OF THE' CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
.... DENYING VARIANCE NO. 453
1 WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
Verified Petition from WALTER G. SMITH, 309 Diana Place, Fullerton, California,
2 as o~ner of a certain parcel of real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lot 1, Block A, Tract No. 351 located ab the northeast corner
4 of West Santa Ana Street and South West Street and further
described as 426 South West Street.
The applicant requests permission to erect a One-Family Dwelling
6 on the front of the above described lot. The property is pre-
sently classified as R-l, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Heari~,g at the
8 3ity Hall in the City of Anaheim, on November 21, 1955, NOTICES of which said
?ublic Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
9 ~NAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; amd
10 WHEREAS, SLid Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
nade by itself and in its behalf L~d after due consideration of all evidence and
11 ~eports offered at s~id Hearing, does find and deter~d.ne the following facts:
12 1. There is an exceptional condition that does not hold true for
other properties in the area in that the small dwelling on the
13 lot is located at the extr~eme rear.
2. No Variance is necessary for the enjoyment of a property right
14 possessed by other properties in the area and denied to the
subject property.
1§ 3. Property owners in the area protestod any breaking-down of the
area which is presently zoned as R-I, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
16 by allowing two d~ellings on one lot.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~MAT THE A'~HEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
~REBY DENIES VARIANCE NO. 453.
