W]~RF~.S, The City Planning Co~mnission of the City of Anaheim has re-
2 ceived a Verified Petition from JEANNE'S BEAUTY SALON, 937 North Lemon Street,
Anaheim, California, as o~mer, LEE and W~.~aINE FELIX,S, 1846 Catalpa Avenue,
5 Anaheim, California, as Authorized Agents, of a certain parcel of real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
4 as follows:
5 'Lot 9, Senic Tract and further described as the Southwesb
corner of North Lemon Street and West La Palma Avenue.
The applicant requests permission to expand and remodel the
7 present Beauty Shop from a One-Operator to a Four-Operator
Shop. The property is presently classified as R-3, MULTIPLE
~ ',. AMILY RESIDENTIAL.
9 WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City' of Anaheim, on January 23, 1956, NOTICES of which said
10 Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM ~3NICIPAL CODE~ Section 9200; and
WHER. EAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and
1~ studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all e~i-
dence and reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following
13 facts:
14 1. There has been a One-Operator Beauty Shop at this location
for a number of 'jears.
15 2. To the south are rental properties, to the east is the American
Legion Building and to the north is La Palma Park.
16 3. The addition of additional operators will not be detrimental
to other properties in the area,
17 a. It is proposed to have off-street parking on La ~alma Avenue.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMIS-
SION HEREBY GRANTS VARIANCE NCo 484 SUBJECT TO:;

1. Beauty Shop limited to Four-Operators°
20 2. Provide Off-Stroot park-lng on La Palina Avenue,
3° Limiting the advertising sign to 24" by 36"°
