GRANTING VARIANCg NO, 733
1 %~REAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received a
Va'ified Petition from GI~.ORGE KING and LLOYD IIOBBS, 2300 South Union Street,
2 Bakersfield, California, as Authorized Agents of a certain parcel of real property
situated in the City o£ Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
3 as follows:
4 The NE~ of the SE~ of' the SW~ of Section 22, T4S, R10W, S.B.B. & M.,
excepting therefrom the South 250 feet and further described as 1401
5 South Harbor Boulevard, situated on the West side of said street [~tween
Ball Road and g..atella Avenue.

The applicant requests permission to erect a 104 ~oom Motel and Restaurant
7 Bar and Service Station.
8 ~{E,~LEAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at ~be City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, on April 22, i957 NOTICES of which said Public
9 Hearing were duly given as required by law, and the provisions of the ANAHEIM
~UNICIPAL CODP., Section 9200~ and

WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
11 made by itself and in its beh~Jf and after due consideration of all evidence
and reperts offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1. This would be a Motel of the[Oliday Inn ChBln.
13 2. This is in line with the type of development expected in this area.
3. The question of a bar wlthin the area on which Disneyland is located
14 was considered, but it was felt that there would be a very small
amount of transient customers.
15 4. Other Variances have been granted for similar uses in the area. as a
whole.
16 5. The granting of the Variance should not be detrimental to other proper-
t~es in the area.
