PC 1957-1958-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM 6~,ANTING VARIANCE l,'O.. 78I ~S, The City Planning Commission of the City of A~aheim has received a Verified Petition from the Owner(s) of a certain parcel of real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: The North half of the Southwest quarter of the Southw~.st quarter and the North 1 (one) foot of the South half of the Sout4~st quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 22, T4S, KiOW, S.B.B. & M., Orange County. WHFA{EAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a P~blic Hearing at City Mall in the City of Anaheim, on July 22, 1957, NOTICES of which said Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the A~AI~EIM MUNICIPA~ CODE, Section 9200; and . WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigatibn and studies ~: .. made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following facts: I. The question to be. determined by the Planning Commission is whether this sis a good use for the subject property. 2.It is presently classified as R-A, kESIDENTIAL-AGRI.CULTUR~., whicL is a transitional zone. 3. It was established that escrow proceedings for the land ~re opened on May 14, 1957. See attached shee't. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES0tVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY GR~S VAJIIANC~ NO. 781 for a hotel in accordance with the plans as ~resented in. the brochure, which becomes a part of the application. Assurances were given b~ the applicant that it would not be a stock promotion, but no evidence was produced to this effect, on1¥ a statement that a lending ~nstution was ready to finance the project. 5. No detailed plans were presented but a brochure was offered in lieu of the plans which are not complete at the present time o 6. The use for the land as proposed would fit in with Anaheimes desire to make the area a Conven*.ion Center as well as an Am,,sement Center. 7. The ~rantin§ of the V~riance would not be. detrimental to other uses i~.the area.
