RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A~AH~IM T~T RECLASSIFICATION

WHEREAS, The City Pl-~ing Commission of the City of ~eimhas received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of ~beim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
The N~ of the SW~ of the NW~ of Section 9, T4S, RI~, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon
de Santa Ana, in the city of Anaheim, county of Orange, state of California, as the NW~
of said section is indicated on a map filed in book 1 page 56 of Record of Surveys, in
the office of the county recorder of sai~ county. EXCEPT the north 67.00 feet of the
East 180.00 feet. ALSO ~XCE~T that portion thereof lying southerly of a line parallel
with and 38.00 feet Northerl7 of the following described line: Commencing at the center
line intersection of Euclid Avenue and Crescent Avenue, as shown on a map filed in book
28 page 32 of Record of Surveys in the office of the county recorder of sai~ count~;
thence North 0o 34t 40" West 692.22 feet along said center line ~f Euclid Avenue to a
point 27.00 feet Northerly of the North line of the South { of the SW};of the ~5~} of
said s~ction 9: as said north line is shown on said map file~/in bo~k 28 page 32 of
Record of Surveys, and the true point of beginning of the line herein described; thence
North 89° 24t 15" East 790~:~47 feet along a line parallel with and 27.00 feet Northerly
of said north line of the South ½ of the SW} of the NW} of said section 9 to the begin-
ning of a curve tangent, concave northerly and having a radius of 900.00 feet; thence
Easterly and Northeasterly along said curve through a centrs/ angle of 3§° 06t 03" an
arc distance of 551.36 ~eet to a line tangent; thence North 54° 18· 12" East 14.19 feet
along $aid tangent line to a point in the east line of the ~W~ of the NW} of said sec-
tion 9, distaxmt thereon, North 0° 33~ 10"West 502.92 feet from an intersection thereof
wi~h the center line of West North Street.*
WEq~EAS, The City Pl-nning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the~ City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-$7-58~,~.~%n the 6th day of January , 19 58 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
A~AHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by i~self and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find ~d determine the following facts:
1. The subject property is presently classified as R-A, Residential Agricultural,
a transitional zone.
2. The property immediately to the south has recently been reclassified to C-l,
Neighborhood Commercial.
3. Such commercial areas should be supported by high density residential, which
acts as a buffer between the commercial and R-i Zones.
*The Broadway-Hale Stores, Inc., 401 So. Broadway, Los Angeles, California, as
Owners, Coldwell, Banker & Co., A.C. Duckett, Jr., 900 Wi/shire Blvd., Los
Angeles, California, as authorized agent, request that the subject property be
reclassified from R-A, ResidentialAgricultural, to R-3, Multiple Family Residential.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT TRE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
