County of Orange. State of California, described as follows: made That portion of Let 39 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map there6f ~ by William Hamel and filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Beginning au the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 39; thence Southerly along the Westerly line thereof 235 feet, more or less; thence EaSterly as measured at right angles from said Westerly line 257.02 feet; thence Northerly along a line parallel with said Westerly line of Lot 39 to point in the Northerly line of said Lot 39, said point being distant 257 feet, more or less, from the Northwest corner of said Lot 39; thenc~ Westerly ~/ 257 feet, more or less, to the p.o..~n~t of. be_ginn'.zu~g;~XCB.PTING_ T .H~.FROM the Northerly 50 feet: ALSO EXCBP~ING* ,~aa~, ~ne Cimy r£~ng uomm~ss~on did hold a Public Hear~ng at City ~all in the City of Anaheim, on January. 20, 1958, NOTICES of which said Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANANEIN MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9~00'; and WNEREA$, Said Commission, 'after due inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said Nearing, does find and determine the following facts: 1. This land was sold to the Veterans of ~oreign Wars for the erection of a Club House, but as far as can be ascertained, no condition was attached to the sale of the property restricting it to such use. 2. A ~ariance w~s granted for a Service Station directly across the street. 3. The Service Station proposed ~ould be erected by a major oil company. 4. The property directly to the Bas+ has been acquired by a boys club, and if the V.F.W. were to erect a Club house, there would be a bar. HEREBY GRASTS VARIANCE NO. 895 ~(R A S~{VICB STATION, SUBJECT TO: 1. The erection of a 6 foot chain link 'fence on the East and South propermy lines to isolate the Service Station from other uses in the area. 2. The deeding to the City of An~im of the necessary land for the widening of North West Street and West La Palma Avenue. 3. Engineering requirements. *THE~BFRO~ THE Westerly 33 feet.
