WHEREAS, The.City Planning Commission did hold a ~blic Hearing at the City Hall 'in ~the City of Anaheim, on September ~, 1955 NOTICE~ cf which said Public Hearing were duly given as required bylaw and' the prev&sion~,~ of the ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL .CODE,. Section 9200; and made by itself and in its behalf aC.' after due consideration of'ali, l[~idenee" and' reports offered at said:Hearing,..does find and determine the following facts: 1.:'This is an area specified for homes'having a livabi~ area of.1350 square feet. 2; When the tentative map of Tract No. 2317 was originally approved, 'the homes were. better than ~'ode requirements as to'livable area. 3. In the'meantime, we understand this tract has been sold twice and the present owner Claims he did not know of this restriction. 4. Building per,its were issUed and homes erected that range between 1251 square feet and 1298 Square feet of livable area with two-~ar garages. 5. Protests have been made by the property, owners in Tract No. 2688~that their properties have been devaluated'by this tract, although directly, west of this.subdivision there is a tract (No. 2300) with 1224 square foot h6mes,, which trac~ was developed before the '.!35Q~quare~fO~t provi~ion-WaS~laced(i~-effec~. .6. The representative of the subdivider stated that the.subdivider m~gh% be willing to place a concrete'block wall on the north side o'f the prope~y. 7. It might be possible to connect the.present dwelling and garage and make half of the garage into living quarters, thus meeting the code. 8. Two purchasers of properties in'Tract No. 2317 wanted to know when they could move in and 28 homes in.this subdivision have been NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM .CITY PI~NIN~ COMMISSION HEREBY GRANTS VARIANC~ NO.
