PC 1958-1959-81 'OLUTION NO. 81 - SER~ES 1958-~ ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OFANAHEIM REC0}~ENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION NO. ~--_~ _:- - ,' . WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: The Southerly 117.00 feet of Lot 9 of the Orchard Park Track ss shown on a map zhereof re~brded in Book 7, Page 6 Miscellaneous Maps of Oran§e County; R×CEPTING THiRd,FROM the Rasterly 660 feet, the Northerly line of West Yermont Ave. 66.00 feet in width being the Southerly line of Lot 9 for the purposes of this description. The applicants, Joh~ H. Seale and A. £. Rohertson, 89~ and 898 So. Palm Street, as owners, request that their properties he reclassified from R-i, Single Family Residential to C-i, Neighborhood Commercial. WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION NO. F-58-59-22 on the 20thday of October , 1~ 58, NOTICE of which said Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANAREIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section ~200; and WHEREAS, Said Commission, after *~e inspection, investigation and studies made by i oelf and in its behalf, ..~.~ ~fter due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts: 1.The property at 898 S. Palm St. at the present time has a variance for a. residence and a Real ~state Office. 2. The property at 894 So. Palm St. is presently classified as R-1 S 'ingle Family Residential. ' 3. The applicants pointed o~?. the other commercial uses on the other . coz. nors at this intersection. 4. It is proposed to join the two dwellihgs together into ~ne commerc.;ial unit and make additions to the front of the existing dwellinqs. 5. Protests were received from residents in the area against gr~ntinc the reclassification. ~ 6. Protest was made that as all the other commercial uses had been Dr anted hy variances, this should ~lso he hy variance to better control the use ~s no specific use was requested by the applicants. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNL.
