PC 1958-1959-173 --~OLUTION NO. 172 - SE~ES ]qsR- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF AI~AHEIM RECOMMEITDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION NO. ~8-~9-60 be Approved. WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received a Verified Petition from the property owner(s} of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Starting at a point 50'distant from the Centerline ~f West Ld Palms Avenue and 33 ft. from the centerline of North West Street and run~ing westerly along the Southerly Right-el-Way line of West La Palms Avenue a distance Jf 384 ft. plus or minus; thence southerly at right angles to West La Palms Avenue a distance of 928.5 feet plus or minus; thence Easterly pmrallel tm West La Palms Avenue a distance of 102.4 ft; thence Northerly at right angles to West La Palms Avenue a distance cf 421.5 ft; thence easterly parallel to West La Palms Avenue a distance of 404.69 ft., thence Northwesterly along the Westerly Right-of-Way line of North West StreetX a distance of 474.ft. to the point of beginning, ~xcept that portion of an 80 ft. Flood Control Easement starting at a point 222 ft. from the point of beginning and running Southwesterly across the property. The applicants HASKELL A. ~rLEY, 852 N. West St., Anaheim, Calif., request that their properties be reclassified from R-O, RESIDENIIAL SUBURBAN, to R-S, MULIIPLE FAMILY P~SIDENTIAL with a restri~tion to one story buildings. WHEBFAS, The City Planning Co.-.ission did hold a Public Hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION NO. F- 58-59-60 on the 2nd day of March , 1959 , NOTICE of which sal~ Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts: 1. These properties from North Street North ~o the Hund Property have a depth ~.f approximately 328 ft. from the centerline of North West Street. 2. /he lots North of the Hund preperty i~ including the Hund proDertv North t® ~XMXM Autumn Drive have a depth of approximately 225 ft. 3. The only possible development of these properties~ Nertherly to the Hund property weuld he by means 5f a sub-standard street with XX lots sub-normal in depth, hut having single family area requirements hy being lengthened out. This would require the co-operation of all property owners, together with a redistribution of the land among the various owners. 4. The Commission believed that the property nwners should he permitted seme use ~f their land, hewever, it was felt that R-3 would place too high a density on the land, but that R-2 should not he detrimental to the area. 5. This would mean that for every 3600 sq. ft. in the lot there could be a single family unit or a duplex for each 7200 sq. ft. of lot area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION NO, F- 58-59-60 be approved for R-2, TWOM FA~ILY P~SIDENTIAL, subject to: -1- 1. The filing ®£ Deed Restrictions limiting all dwellings erected to one story in heightwi with architectural aFpr~vaZ necessary. 2. The installati®n of ~i sidewalks 3. The payment of $2.00 a front ft. for street lighting purposes. 4. That a 90 day time limit be specified for the completion of above requirements.
