A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY 0FANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59~78 BE APPROVED.
WfrF~REAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lots 11 and 12, Block 2 of Eygabroadts Subdivision and further described as being
on the ~ast side of Thalia Street.
]he applicant ~S. JOSIR MALMSTROM, 206 South Thalia Street, Anaheim, California, as
Owner, zequests that the subject properties be reclassified from C-2 G~UfRAL
CO~t~RCIAL TO R-i, SINGLE PA~ffLY RESID~rrIAL.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-78 on the 6th day of April . 19 5% NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. It was expected that by reclassifying this property to R~I, the applicant would be
offered the first opportunity to purchase the lot to the North.
2. The applicant presently has a Single family residence on the property and desires to
continue to recide at this location.
3~ The use of the lot to ~he North for co~erci~l usc would cnd~gcr thc single family
privacy now enjoyed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 58~$9~78 be approveU for Reclassificatien from C-2, G~NRRAL COMMERCIAL TO
R~I, SINGLB FAMILY RMSIDRNTIAL.
