A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. P-58-59-80 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Thc Soutll half of thc Southwest quarter of the Northwes~ quarter' of the Southwest
quarter of Section 2-4-10. EXCRPT that portion included within Tract No. 2022, map
53/24 and 25 and otherwise described as the Northeast corner of North East Street and
Romneya Drive.
The Applicants, WILLIASI C. GARRE'IW & DORIS B. GARRMTT, as Owners, request that tile
subject property be reclassified from R-l, SINGLE FA~IILY RESIDENTIAL ~o G~3, Heavy
Conuaercial to permit the erection of a Service Station.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 58-59-86on the 4th day of May , 19 59, NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and tho provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. ~le proper~y is presently developed with an old single family dwelling, which
the applicant states is not worth improving.
2. Objections were raised by property owners in the area opposing the erection o£ a
Service Station.
3. The property is across the street from a small neighborhood shopping center where
Service Station was denied some time ago.
~. Property owners in the Neighborhood suggested that the property ~ight be improved
with a medical center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION DEN1ES
