A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDINfl TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION

WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the proporty owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
A parcel ~330 feet × 2600 feet,, bounded on the North by Anaheim Street and on tho
South by La Palma Avenue just East of Dowling Street and further described as Lot 16
in Block K of tho Kraemer Tract.

The applicants, MIRES A. SHARK~Y and EARL F. KITCHEL,/P.O. Box 31,'Fullerton,
California, request 'that the subject property be reclassified from R-A~
RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL to M-l, LIGHT MANUFACTURING~
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-87 on the 2nd day of June , 1959 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidenc~
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. At a Public Hearing held on April 20, 1959 with reference to Special UsO Pormit ~%~,[;~
for a Trailer Pa~ in this area, a representative of Miles A. Sharkey appeared before
the Commission and requested that no action he taken on Special Use Permit No. 81
until a Precise Plan'for the whole area~ is completed.
2. At the same time a reclassification was filed by Miles A. Sharke¥ she ~arl ~ Kitchel]
requesting that the subject property be reclassified to M-2 and subs~quently amended
to M-1. Ibis hearing was held on May 4, 1959 and was sent. to the Ct1:y Council
without a recommendation.
3. The Reclassification No. ~-58-59-87 was returned to the Planning Comn]issioB for a
recommendation.
4. Another Public Hearing was held on June 2, 1959, and although the Con ~ission
favored M-1 zoning, a committment was made to consider a Precise Plat ~.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-87 be denied.
