A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING T0 THE CITY COUNCIL 0F THE CITY 0F ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-59-60-50 BE D~NI~D.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of %he City of Anaheim has received
= Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in %he City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lots 9, 10, ll and 106 of Tract No. 2903 and further described as 1545, 1555 and 1515 West
Katella Avenue.
The Applicant, ~CK~Y CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., 1545 W. Katella Avenue, as Owners,
Arthur E. Hintz, same address, as Authorized Agent request that the subject property
be reclassified from R-l, SINGLE PA~ILYR~SIDENTIAL to C-1 N~IGHBOP. HOOD CO~ERCiAL for
Business and Professional offices.
WHEREAS, The City PA~nnlng Commission did hold a Public Hearing a~ the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 59-~%0-50 on the 2nd day of November , 1959 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made bM itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered a% said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. These lots are presently improved with single family dwellings used as Models for the
subc~vision at the rear.
2. It is proposed to move these dwellings off the property and replace with two one story
office buildings.
3. Objections were raised by the residents of =he tract at the rear & on Katella Ave. to
the proposed reclassification.
4. There appears to be no reason why these models cannot be sold for residential use.
5. This was considered under Reclassification No. F-57-58-40 on 3-17-56 by the Commission
and denied. This action was confirmed by the City Council on 3-25-58.
6. There has be no change in the area planning since that time.
NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOM~FA~DS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 59-60-$0 BE DENIED.
