WHBRBAS; the Vaziance procedure required for the issua.nce of permits for Temporary Directional Sigps involves the Planning Commission, City Council, Engineering Committee as well as posting, advertising and mailing notices, it would appear tY.at this work load could be reduced by having such permits handled directly by the Building DepartmenY; and WHEREASy if the following procedure was established control of such signs would 3e better than presently in force: A. T;Iat an application for a Temporary Directional Sign, accompanied by a sketch with -: $25.00 fee for site inspection be made to the Building Department_ B. ~ign Requirements: 1, Th=_t suct signs be limited to 10 feet x 25 feet. 2. That such signs be six (6j feet above ground level. ~. ~ 3. That the maximum time lzmit for such sig^; to be six months g or less. v 4, That the name of the sig.1 company erecting such sign appear on the sign. 5. That the per.mit No. and expiration date be painted in 2 inch letters on a lower corner. 6~ That .,uch si.gns be set back a roillimum of 25 feet from either street at a ~'creet intersection. '7. That such signs be sei back a minimum of 10 feet from any right-of- way iina when ~ot at a street intersection. C. That upon approval of such application, after a site inspection by the Building Depar±::.-,t the applicant shall pay a$25.00 Pern~it Fee, accompanied by a non-liability affi~?avit and right-of~way access for ~ Weed Control and 8ign Removal, drawn in favor of ihe City of Anaheim and sigred by the property owner or his or her Authorized Agent. ~ D. That a$lOC.00 deposit be made to the City to guarantee Weed Control ~ and Sign Removal. Any balance left after removaZ cf sign to be paid ~ to applicant. 1 E: That there be a maximum of three (3) Tempozary Directional Signs permitted fox any tract development. F, That no applicat9.ons be accepted for the advertising of any tract not in the City of Anaheim.
