included in the C-1. NEIGHBORHOOD COMNIERCIAL 2one
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission of the Clty of Anaheim has recei.ved
a request that SMALL BOAT STORAGE be included in the C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL Zone; and
WHEREAS, such use is not specified in the C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMM'eRCIAL Zone; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did consider this use at an Ad,~ourned
Regular Meeting held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
Monday~ August 17th, 1959, as required under the provisions of the Anaheim Munlcipal Code
Section 9200014 1- General "b"; and

WHEREAS after due consideration of all evidence and repo*ts offered at said
meeting, does find and determine the following factse
1. Many inhabitants of the city own small boats (Statistics show that more boats
were sold in Calii•ornia last year than new cars.)
2. These boats to a large extent are parked at the homes usually ~.n the driveways~
3. A parking lot such as suggested would eliminate the unsightly appea.r.ance of
these boats parked on residential property.
NOW~ THEREFORE BE TY RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHETM CITY PLANNING COMMTSSION H6REBY
Recommends to the City Council of the City of Maheim thaL SMALL BOAT STORAGE be added
to the uses permitted in the C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL Zone sub~ect tu:
1. Tha•t such parking area be enclosed with a chain link fence and suitably
landscaped outside of the fence whenever such lot faces a dedi.cated street~
2. That no work on seid boats be permitted in the parking lot.
3. That no motors be operated in said parking lot.
4. That anproval of the Anaheim Fire Chief be obtained.
