A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. P-59-60-33 be denied.
WHEREAS~ The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lot 24, Block B of Tract No. 374 and further described as 941 North Dickel St., Anaheim,
Calif.
~e Applicants, RALPH ~. & PRANCES E. COATS, 4078 W. 7th St. Los Angeles, California, as
owners, Bay Coast Builders, Inc., 12021. Westminster Avenue, Santa Ana, Calif., as
Authorized Agent request that the subject property be reclassified from R-i, SINGL~ PAMILY
R~SID]L~IAL to R-2, T~O PAMILY R~SIDENTIAL%
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 59-60-33 on the 5th day of October , 19 ~ NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration ofall evidence
and'reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. The property is presently single family residential.
2. The subject property is improved with a garage type dwelling at the rear of the lot.
3. This typeoof building was permitted during the war, due to a shortage of materials
and labor, with the understanding that the lot would be improved with a new dwelling
on the front of the lot and that the g~age home be converted to a garage.
4. This was the intent of the original owners.
5. Protests were received from 28 Property owners in the area against the reclassification.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 59-60-33 be denied.
