A RESOLUTION OF 'THE CITY PLANNIPiG COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECONA4ENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHT'!M THAT
PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION N0.61-62-87 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commieaion of the City of Maheim did ceceive a verified Petition for Recla'seiflce-
tion from 1~'~a CLIFTON 1N. MARTIN, 1916 West Bal~. Road, Anaheim, California, Owner; proposing
reclassification of the following des,cribed propertyi All that certain land situated in
that portion of Lot 6 of the Kellog Homestead Trac"t, as shown on a Map recorded in Book B,
page 51 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Copnty of Orange in the state of Californiao
Beginning at ~ point in the center line of tfie 6(?~foot road along the Northerly boundary
of said Lo t 6, distant thereon Westerly 190 feet from fts intersection with the Westerly
line of the 4Q foat road along the Easterly boundary of said Lot 6, and running thence
Southerly, parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot 6, 395 feet, thence Westerly parallel
with the Northerly line of said Lot 6, 123010 feet ~Co a point in said parallel line, dis-
tant thereon Easterly 125 feet from the Westerly line of said Lot 6; thence Northerly
paralle~ with the Westerly line of said Lot 6, 395 feet to said center line of said 60 faot
roed; thence Easterly along said center line 12404 feet ~o the point of beqinning ;and
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold. e pqblic hearing at the City Hell •in the City of Anehelm on
MarCh 19~ 1962 et 2:00 e'clock P.M., notice af said publ~c keaeing having been duly glven as required
by law end in nccordence with the proviaions of th~ Aneheim Municipel Code, CSapter 18.72, to hear and considec evi-
dence for and againat aeid pcoposed ceclassificetion and to investigate and meke findings end recommendations in
connection therewith: end ~
iNHEREAS, seid Commission, a$ec due inspection, investigetion, and atudy made by itaelf end in its behelf,
end efter due consi~ecation of ell evidence and reports offered eY said headng, does find end detem~ine the following
facts: '
1. Thet the petitioner proposes a reclassification of the ebove descdbed property f~om the R-A~ RESIDENTIAL
AGRICULTURAL, 20NE to the C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMt~RCIAL•, ZONEe
2o That the proposed reclassification of sub3ect property is not necessary or desirable
for the orderly.and proper development of the community.
3o That tfi~e~proposed reclassification of sub~ect proper+ty does not properly relate to
the zones arrcl tt~e3x permitted uses locally established in ciose proximity to sub~ect property
and to the zones and their permitted uses generally est'abifsiaed throughout the community>
4o That ttre proposed reclassification of sub~ect property does require dedication for
and standard improvements of abutting streets because said psoperty does relate to and abut
upon streets and htghways which are proposed to carry tt~e type and quantity of traffic, which
will be generated by the permitted uses, in accordancg with~tl~e circulation element of the

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Meheim City Plenning Commission does hereby recommend
to the City Council oE the CIt~ of Anaheim that subject Petition' for Reclassification be denied on the besis of the
aforementioned findings.
