PC 1962-1963-618~ ~~ .~~ -~ t. ~ • ~ ' . ;~ RESOLUTION NO. 618, SERIES 1962-63' "~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSIONI OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 325 BE DENIED ~:`I~EREAS, the City Plenning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive e verified Petition for Conditional Use Pem,itfrom SIGNAL OIL ODh1PANY9 1221 South Western, Los Angeles 6, California, Owners of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheimy County of Orange, State of California, described as the southerly 100 feet of Original Building Lot 13, and the southerly 100 feet of the easterly 60 feet of Original Building Lot 14, as per map recorded in book n pages 629 and 630 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, the northerly line of said 100 feet being parallel with the southerly line of said lots ; and NHEF.EAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hell in the City of Anaheim on February 4~ I9639 at 2:00 o'ciock P.M., notice of said public hearing having beep duly given es required by law and in accordence with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipel Code, Chapter 18:64, to hear and consider evidence for end against said proposed rnnditlonel use and to investigate and meke findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission, efter due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and a$er due consideration of ell evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determiae the following facts: ~ 1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a Conditional Use Permit is authorized by this Code, to wit: establish a used car agency in conjunci,ion with an existing service station. 2o That the proposed use :vi11 adversely affect the adjoining land uses and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located. 3a That the propos~d use would be incompatible with the development of surrounding properties in close proximity to subject propertyo 4. That two similar combinations of service stations and used car lots had formerly been in operation wfiich are deteriorated in their appearance, and upon being required to convert to one type of business, the general appearance o~ the area was improved. The use of subject property should be limited to either the'present service station or a used car lot, but not both uses together, because the use of the property will ultimately become an open-air garage, resulting in further deterioration to subject and abutting properties. 5o That no one appeared in opposition to subject petition..
