A RESOLUTIUN OF THE CITY PLANNING COMNISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING {1 GENERA,L PLAN
FOR THE GITY OF ANAHEIM AP,ID ITS ENVIRONS, AND RECOhWIEPIDING THE ADQPTION OF SAID PLAN BY THE I
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ` !

~~S9 the Planning Cummission of the City cf Anaheim, has9 pursuant to the City t
Gouncil Resolution Number 62R-208~ and Section 65460 of the Goverr,ment Code of the State
of Californi~, prepared a comprehEnsive, long-term, General Plan far the physical develop-
ment of .the City and its environs, and ;
~~~, the Planning Commission has9 pursuant to the requirements of Article 8 of ~
Title 7 of the Gavernment Code, held three public hearings, at which public testimony
was taken,`and -
WHEREAS, the Plaaning Commission has carefully considered the testimony offered at
the aforementioned public hearings, and other analytir,~l data, repor•ts, and maps prepared ~
at its directio~, and £inds the General Plan to be (1)9 a suitable guide for the future ;
physical developmen,t~f the City, (2), the legal basis for the development and execution
of precise plans as covered by Articles 10, 11 and 12 of Title 7 of the GovErnment Code,
and (3), a proper means for communicating the physical development polzcies of the City j
of Anaheim to owners and developers of property, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution Number 62R-208 and Section 65462 of the
Government Code the Planning Department has at the direction of this Commission prepared
ihe following documentsa (1} the map at a scale of 1" ~ 300', entitled "The General Pian,
City of Anaheim, California", which map presently hangs in the City Covncil Chambers, and
(2), the document entitled "General Plan9 Guide for Future Development, Ananeim, California,
January, 1963"9 which contains the objectives, principles and standards used to develop the
General Plan ~s required by Section 65462 of the Government Code and a representation of the
General Plan Map, and
WHEREAS, on the sixth day of June 1960, pursuant to Resolution Number 279A, Series
1459-1460, this Commission did adopt the Circulation element of the General Plan, consisting
of maps entitled "Arterial Streets and Highways" and "Highway Right-of-Way", and certain
other exhibits, and
WHEREAS, on the twenty-eighth day of June, 1960, pursuant to Resolution Number 6111,
the City Council of the Ci~ty of Anaheim did adopt the Circulation Element of the General
Plan as described above, subject to certain amendments9 and
LNHEREAS9 the ccrrent General Plan program has resulted in necessary amendments to the
previously adopted Circulation Element of the Plana
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVID, that the Planning Comnission hereby adopts a Gsneral
Plan for the City of Anaheim, and does declare that the Generai Plan consists of (1), a true
and correct copy of the map showing that area within the City limits of the City of Anoheim
lying north aod west of the Santa Ana River, which map is entitied "The General Plan, City
of Anaheimg California"y a:~d wnicn map presently is located in the City Council Chambers,
as said map existed on July 15, 19639 the date of adoption of this Resolution; (2), the
textual material incluaed within the document entitled, "General Plan, Guide for Future
Development, Anaheim9 C~iifornia, January 1963"; and (3), the Circulation Element documents

BE IT.FIJRI'HFR RESOLVID~ that in order that the General Plan shail at all~times be
current with the needs of the City of Anaheim, and in order that the General Plan shall
re~resent the long-range, comprehensive, aad general physical development policies of the
City of Anaheim in the light of changing conditions, the Planning Commission shall, pursuant
to Section 6554? of the Government Codey annaally revi~+s the General Plan and recommend to
the City Council such amendments, changes, extensicns, or additions as it deems advisabie, ~ d
