PETITION FnR RECLASSIFICATION NDo 63-64-45 BE APPROVID ~
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did ir.itiate a Petition
for Reclassification of property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of ~alifornia, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though
set forth in full; and
~I-IEREAS, subject property was an~exed to the City of Anaheim under the Riverview
Annexation9 effective October 24, 19639 and
WHEREAS, the Ci,ty of Anaheim following a report by the Planninq Commission regarding
the County Zoning of subject proper•ty, did adopt an interim ordinar,r,e reclassifying subject
property to the C-~l9 Neighborhood Commercial, Zone on Portions "A" and "B", and R-A,
Residential Agricuitura'l, Zone on Portion "C"; and
WHEREAS9 Codea Section 18~120030 provides that upon the adop•tion af an interim zoning
ordinance the City Planning Commission shall immediately commence studies and hearings to
impose appropriate zoning on the newly annexed territoryg and
WHERFASy the Clty Planning Commission did ho'!d a public hearing at i:he City Hall in the
City of Anaheim on October 14y 1963 at 2~00 o'clock pomoy notice of said public hearing having
been duly given as required by 1aw and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim
Municipal Codey Chapter t8~72, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed
reclassification and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, it was found that the most appropria~e zones for the newly annexed territory
were identi~;a1 to those zones applied through an emergency oxdinance by the City Council,
although 2 persons appeared in favor and 3 persons appeared in opposition to subject
reclassification~
NOW, THEREFC)RE, BE IT RESO:,VF.D that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby
r.ecommend to the City Council of Anaheim that subject Petition for Reclassification be
approved, and by so doingy that Tit'le 18-Zoning of t:~e Anaheim Municipal Code be amended to
classify the above described p•roperty on Portions "A" and "B" to the C-ly Neighbo•rhood
Commercial9 Zone and that Portion "C" be classifled in the R-~A„ Residential Agricultural,
Zone without conditionsa
