~; A RE50LUTION QF THE CITY.PLANNING GOPAPAiSSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REOOMMENDING TO THE CITY
OOUNCIL THE ArdENDMENT OF TITLE EIGHTEEN9 CHAPTER 18o04y GENERAL PROVISIONS BY THE ADDITION
OF'SECTION 18o04v030 (b-11) USE ~ PARKING RHQUIRF~7ENTS FURNITURE STORES
WHEREAS, Code9 Section 180040030 does not provide for the special parking requirements of
furniture storesg and
WHEREAS, a study was made of existing parking facilities provided for furniture stores
throughout the County, together with Code parking requirements in other Orange County cities; and
WHEREAS, said study presented facts that a requirement of 1 parkittg space per 500 square
feet of gross area was deemed a satisfactory parking requirement fo•r furniture stores; and
WHEREASy a duly advertised public hearing was held by the Planning Commission of the
City of Anahe3m on the 28th day of October, 1963, in the Council Cha~mber of the City Hall to
hear and consider evidence for and a3ainst said propesed addition to Title Eighteen of the
Anaheim Municipal Code9 and to investigate and make findings and x•ecommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissiony after due inspection, investigation9 and study made by itself
and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearing, does find and determine that the proposed amendment to Chapter 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code; accomodatc the unique requirements of furniture storeso
NOW~ THEREPORE BE IT RESt~LVED tha the City Planning Commission recommend to the City
Council of the City of F~naheim, the amendment of Title Eighteen9 Section 18004~030 General
Piovisions, Use, Parking Requirements by the addition of Secticn 180040030 (b-11) "FURNITURE
STORES - One space per each 500 square feet of gross floor are2o"
