A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCiL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION N0. 63-64-49 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission of the City of Meheim did receive a verified Petition for Recla'ssifica-
tionfrom ANAHEIM BULLETIN-FREEDOM NEWSPAPERS, ING., 232 So~~th Lemnn_Stxeet, Anaheim,

Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though set forth in full

NHEREAS, the City Planning Cummission did hold a public hearing at' the City Hell in the City of Aneheim on
NoVett~b~er 13~ 1963, et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required
by law end in accocdance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.92,to hesr and consider evi-
dence for end against said propased reclassificetion and to investigate end make findings and cecommendetions in
connectian therewith: and
R'HEREAS, said Cammission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf,
and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and detemine the following
facts: •
1. That the petitioner proposes a:eclessi~ication of the above described pcoperry fcom the C-2~ General Commer-
ciaJ., Zone io the C-3, Heavy Commercial9 Zone to enlarge the existing newspaper facilities,
and the establishment of the prin•ting plant on subject propertyo
2o That the pioposed develapment does not conform with present Code requirements of
212 parking spaces, whereas only 17 substandard parkinq spaces are proposedo
3. That the petitioners did submit a plot plan upon request by the Commission, and
did conduct a study for possible development of. subject property Hith subterranean parkitig,
which they considered to be unfeasibleo
4o That the petitioners should provide adequate parking f acilities for their estimated
60 employees, because subject property is locai:ed w3thin the downtown shoppinq area, wherein
parking provisions for new develooments are a necessii:y, in order that a critical parking
problem might not be further compoundedo
5, That four (4) persons appeared, two of whom presented petitions signed by eight (8)
persons opposing the inadequacy of parking faciliti~so
