A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION NO. b3-64-60 BE DENIED
WHEREIS, the City Plenning Commission of the City of Aneheim did receive a veriEied Petition for Reclassifica-
tionfcom EARLE and CECELIA Ke BROOKS, 3620 Savanna Street, Anaheim, California, Owners;
JOE.E. LONG, 9776 Katella Avenue, {lnaheim, California, Agent of certain real property
situated in.the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as
Lot 26 of Tract Noe 743, as shnwn on a Map xecorded..in Book 22, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records.of Orange County, California; excepting therefrom the East 189039 feet of
the North 190 feet thereof; said 190 feet being measured from the South line of the street
adjoining said Lot 26 on the North, and further described as 3620 Savanna Street
; and
WHEREAS,• the City Planning Commission did hold a public heacing et the City Hell in the City of Anaheim on
November 27 ~ 1963 et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public heacing having been duly given es requiced
by law and in eccordance with the provisions of the Meheim Municipel Code, Chepter 18.72,to hear and consider evi-
dence for end egeinst said pcoposed reclessificetion and to investigate and make findings end recommendations in
cronnection thecewith: and
WHEREAS, said Commission, afrer .due inspection, investigetion, and study made by itself and in its behalf,

fects:
1. That the petitioner proposes-a-reclassificetion of the above described property from the R-A~ Residential
Agricultural, Zone to the R-39 Multiple Family Residential, Zone to establish a planned
townhouse residential development on subject propertya
2. That the proposed reclassification of subject property is not necessary and~or
desirable f or the orderly and proper developme{~t of the community.
3o That the s3ze and shape of the sita proposed for reclassification is not adequate
to allow the full c velopment of the property for multiple family use in a manner not
detrimental to the particular area and would be detrimental to the health, peace, safetyy
and general welf are of the Citizens of the City of Anaheimo
4e That development of sub3ect or abutting properties for uses other than those
permitted under the present R-A, classificai:ion is at best, premature because the entire
area is rural in atmospheree
5, That the City Council is encot:raged to visit sub~ect property prior to their
public.hearing to observe the unique character and use of sub~ect and abutting properties.
6. That fourteen persons'appeared, one of whom presented a petition signed by
twenty-six adjacent property owners„ and one letter was received, opposing sub~ect pe~Eition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Plenning Commission does hereby :ecommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim thet subjec; Petition for Reclassificetion be denied on the besis of the
afo:ementioned findings.
