A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING OOMMISS£ON OF THE GITY OF ANAHEIM RECOHIMENDING TO THE

WHEREAS, the City Council did request tt~at the City Planning Commission and Plannirig
Department consider a name change for Anaheim Road in the event it was determined that
Los Angeles Street be renamed Anaheim 3oulevardy and
WHF.f?EAS, the City Planning Commission did recommend to the City Council by Resoiution
No. 1032, Series 1563-64 a change in name from Los Angeles Street to Anaheim Boulevard, and
WHEREAS9 the Gity Planning Commission did conduct a Public Hearing on a proposed name
change for Anaheim Road, and
tiVHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did find at said Public Hearing that a proposed
name change would eiiminate a near. duplication in names for two streets ~vithin the territorial
limits of the City of Anaheim, and
YJHEREAS, communications recefved emph3sized the significance of renaming Anaheim Road
to a name which is Spanish in origin and which means "view of the mountains" to be conpatible
with existing street names in the area, and whicn is appropriate for the geographic setting
of the. area in which said street is located~
NOW9 THEREE~RE9 BE IT RHSOLVID that the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim
recommends to the City Council the change in name of Anaheim Road from the Riverside Freeway
on the west to Jefferson Street on the east to Miraloma Avenueo
