WHEREAS9 Section 18.380020 of the Anaheim Municipal Codeo "C-09 Commercial Office 2one9 j
does prohibit the commercial use of a residentiai struct~re designed or intended for resident-
ial use, and ;

WHE,REAS.y the Cjty Planning Co~mnission has condUcted studies related to th~e problem of ~
residential structur.es fr.onting on arterial.h3ghways ~nd finds that there are certain areas
wi~hin the commnnity where the office use bf a res3dential struc•ture can be accomplished`
within the intent and purpose,'of tne Cw09 Commercial Office Zonep subject to conditions of
development which.will assure land'use compatibility and preserve the development resources ,
of Anaheim:s..office areaso.

City Council that Chapter 18038 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be amended to read as followsa ~

"Subject to the provisions of this zone, the following buildings, structures and uses, either
singlv or.sn comb3nation9 may De permitted in the Commercial Of£ice Zoneo Uses other than

assuring land use compatibility and the preservation of the development resources within
Anahaim°s office areas9 no combination of residential and commercial use shall be permitted ;
in any structure, nor shall any structure.designed or intended for residential use be used ~
for commexcial. activity excapt.as.provided in Section 180380040,
"Office uses including but not limited to the following shall be permitteds

Section 180380040 Condit3nnal Uses shall be amended by the addition of 3ection (3)

provided that said use shall~expire on January 1, 1969y at which time ±he use will be
reir.iewed for termi.nation..q~,rxtension of timey subject to the folluwing provisionss
(a) Uses shall.be limited to those specifically lisied in Section 18a38.020.
(b) All exterior ai~~rations shall be s~:b~~k ~to review and approval by the Devel6pmen~

Sj (.e) That all vehicular access rights to abutting arterial streets and highways shall be
