A RE~LUfION OF THE CITY PLANNING ~MMISS.ION OF THE (,ITY OF ANAHEIM
REOOMMF,I~IDING T'0 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHIIM THAT
GEidERAL PLAN AMEPTilMENT NOo 25 BE APPROVID
WHFREAS, the City Counnil of the City.of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by
Resalution Noa 63R-869; shatieiag the general description and extent of land uses
within .the City and.iii~l;cn~inn i:he present belief of the Council as to possible
future development_.and redeveinr~::~ent.of the land within the city; and
WHFREAS, the City Plarr,iaq ~c:mmission of the City of Anaheim did receive
a verified Petition for RecJ.assification Noo 63-64-143 and Variance Noo 16449 which
petitions have implications on polic3es as expressed on said General Plan; and
WHPRFAS, in conjunction with the notice of the hea=ing on said reolassification
and variance9 notice was..also.given regarding the considesation of an amendment to
. the General Plan in the.genaral location and vicinity of subject pronerty of said
reclassification and variance; and
WHEREAS9.the City Flanning Commission did ho'ld a public hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim on June 22, 19649 at 2s00 0°clock PoMo, notice of said
public hearing having been duiy given as required by law and in accordance with
the pxovisions of the.Anaheim i:tunicipal Codey to hear and consider evidence for
_ and against said amendment.to.the General Plan and said proposed Petition°s for
reclassification and variance to investigate and make findings and recomr.iendations
in connection-therewith; and
W[~REAS, said Commission after due inspection, in•vestigationy and study made
by itself ahd in its behalf and after due consideration of a11 evidence and reports
offered_ at said hearing, DOES. HERFBY. FIND.
lo That evidence.was presented at said hearing which ~ustifies the Gfty
Planning Cammissionas recon~nending to the City Council a change in
the.present.general description and extent of land uses in the
aforementioned area, bounded on the north by the Orange County Flood
Control Channel.and Catalpa Avenue9 on the west by Lhe east centerline
of Loara 8treet, and:vn tha.south by the Santa Ana Freewayo
2~ That Exhibit "A" of C~eneral Plan Amendment Noa 25 does constitute
an acceptable alternative ~to cuxrent poiicies as illustrated on the
General Plan~

NOW, THFREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~ that the City Planning.Commission of the
City of Maheim.does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City uf Anahein ~
. that subject.General Plan Amendment be approved on the basis of the aforementioned
findings and in accordance with Exhibit "A",
