PC 1964-1965-1277;~ RESOLUTION ND. 12'77a Series 1964-65 A RE90LlffION QF TNE ~ITY PLANNING CAMMISSIOt~-OF TFiE CITY OF ANAHEIM E~MMEtmII~ TO TI~ CITY COUNC:L OF THE CITY OF ANAHQAI THAT GENFRAL PLAN NdF.NQbI~~IT 1~. 28 BE APPAOV~U MHFREAS, the City Council of the City of Maheim did adopt a General Plan by Rasolution Ho. 63R-869, shoxing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future developmant and.~>devalcpment of land within the City~ and 1~HEREAS, the City Planning Com~ission of the City of Anaheim did receive a Yerifled Petition for.Conditional Use Permit No. 596, which petttion has implications on policias as expressed on said Gene:~al Planf and 111~RF.AS, in conjunction with the notice of the hearing on said conditional use permit, notice was also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the qeneral locatfon and v:c:nity of subject property of said conditional use permit; and MF~REAS, the City Plaaning Co~nission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Mah~im on July 20, 1964, at 2i00 PoMe, notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordancu with the provisions of the Maheim Ilunicipal Coda, to hear and consider evidence for and against said amend- ment to the General Plan and said proposed Petition for Conditional Use Permit to investigate and make findings. and recomnendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Co~ission after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES F~REBY FII~ 1. That evidence was presented at said hearing which justifies the City Planning Commission's recommending to the City Council a change in the present general description and extent of land uses in the aforementioned area, extending from the present Commercial Recreation Area eoutherly botmdary to 660 feet south of Jrangewood .rvenue the weIIterly boundary be'.ng the east side of Harbor Boulevard. 2. That the Commission deecs it advisable to extPnd *hP Comnercial Recreation Area as illustrated in Fxhibit "A" because the proposed use approved under Conditional Use Perroit No. 596 due to its proximity to the proposed conver.tion facilities located approximatel~ one-quarter of a mile northerly, constitutes a logical extension of said Area. 3. That $xhibit "A" of General Plan Amendment No. 28 does constitute a~ acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the General Plan.
