That Alternative "A" as shown on Exhibit No. 1, proposing the extension and align- ,ment.of La Falma Avenue easterly from Jefferson Street to Imperial Highway is the most acceptable and feasible alignment based nn engineering studi8s which indicate it to bs less cost.ly. Futher, that it utilizes more existing right-of-way, is a more direct route~ and that sanitary sewers will be less expensive because of the topog- graphy. 2. That Alternatives "B", "C", and "D" were considered less feasible because of the increased cost; the divieion of nmre small parcels, making them undevelopable as individual parcels, and the traversing of a sand and gravel operation. 3. That all property owners in the area present at the public hearing expressed their desire to develop their properties for industrial purposes and urged that an alignment be.established as soon as possible, in order that the properties affected by the extension and aliqnment might be developed. 4. ihat ele~en (11) property owners.appeared before the Commission urging the establish- ment of the alignment and extension of La Palma Avenue, the majority exprossing their preference for Alternative "A". S..That the propcsed_General Plan Amendment is not a precise alignment study, nor is there.an acquisition program-being.,proposed, but is necessary to clarify the City's policy for necessary and adequate traffic circulation for the northeast industrial area. ;---~ -_ - --_.____ __ _ _ _ __ ~ ~ r 1 ( ~~ ~ DAW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVm that the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Maheim that the Circulation Element of the General Plan be amended by the approval of General Plan Amendment No. 38, and the adoption of Alternative "A", as shown on Exhibit No. 1, for the general aligr~ent and extension of La Paltna Avenue easterly from Jefferson Street to Imperial Highway.
