WHEREAS, Chapter 18.08 does define a dwellinq, Multiple, I?~tel, and Tourist, but does not differ.entiate s.ufficiently for adequate adminisiratinn of these definitions; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission deems it necessary that adequate clarification be made for the proper administration of the Zoning Codeg and Wt~RFAS, the City Planning Commission did initiate and conduct a public hearing on the 14th day of September, 1964, to receive and consider evidence presented for and against said amendmentss and Wi~REAS, .in.order that motels or tourist courts are basically provideo .for the transiL~it motorist and garage facilities are not necessary, this portion of the original. definition in Section 18..080730 referring ta "garage attached" was deleted. Wf~REAS, the City Planning Commission did adopt said Amendment at a Regular Meeting on September 14, 1964. , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID that the City Planning Commission does recommend to the City Council of the City of Maheim the adoption of the amendment to Title Eighteen, Chapter 18008 Zoning Code - Definitions to read.as followst . ; ~ 18.08.300 - Dwelling Llultiple. A building, or portion thereof, designed for ~ occupancy by three or more families living independently of each other,_.•each of.which families hires said premises for a piriod of ~ at least one (1) month or thirty (30) days. $ 18008.400 - Hotel. A huilding in which there are six or more guest rooms wtere lodging with 4r without meals is provided for compensation, and where no prov3sion is made for cooking in any individual room or suite. Jails,..hospitals, assy.lums, sanitariums or orphanages, prisions, deten- tion homes or similar buildings where human beings are housed and detained ~u~der ],egal restraint are •specifically not included.
