WHERFAS, the Gity Planning Commission of the City of Maheim did recommend to
the City Council the. adoption of Chapter 18.63, of the Anaheim Municipal Code pro-
viding for the regulation by ordinance Billboards in the City of Anaheim other than
at freeway frontages, and
WHEREAS, Section 4.06.080 provides for removal of non-conforming biilboards
along fraeway frontages by September 10, 1959, and
YIHFREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pubiic hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim on December 21, 1964, at 2i00 0'clock P.M. notice of said
public hearing having been duly given as xequired by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Maheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and
against said proposed reclassification and to investigate and make findings and
recommendations in concu~ction.therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did determine that in order that all
sections of the Anaheim Municipal Code governing outdoor advertising structures,
signs or displays be uniform, an amendment to Section 4.08.080 is necessay.
NOW~ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVm that the City Planning Cortmission of the City
of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
Title Four, Chapter 4.08.080 of the M aheim Municipal Code be amended to read as
followse
SEGTION 4.08.080 NON-QJNFORMING SIGNS AND Sflt1JGTURES
"All outdoor advertising structures, signs, or displays
which aze legally in existence on the effective date of
this ordinance and which do not conform to the provisions
of this chapter shall be regarded as non-conforming and
may be continued as followsc
"All such non-conforming outdoor advRrtising structures
shall be discontinued and removed not later than three (3)
years after the effective date of thfs section as amended."
