A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ODMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REOOMMENDING
TO THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CI'IY OF ANAHEIM THE CHANGE IN NAME OF SAVOY PLACE
SAID STREET IACATED WITHIN 7HE TERRI'PORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, in September, 1954, Tract No. 2205, located northwesterly of the inter-
section of State College Boulevard and South Street was approved and recorded wherein
a street was designated as Savoy Avenue; and
WFIEREAS, on December 5, 1963, Tract No. 5262, located between Orange Avenue and
Broadwey easterly of Dale`Street, was a;~proved and recorded, wherein a cul-de-sac in
th~s tract was.designated as Savoy Pla.:e; and
WHEREAS, the Post Office Department has advised the City that because of the wide
separation of the names of two streets created a problem of delay in mail delivery due
to the absence of the designation of Avenue or Place; and
WHEREAS, upon investigation with the Pub.lic Works Department it xas determined
that Tract No. 5262 was now in the process of being constructed and had no residents
in the homes; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Comm;~sion did hold a public hearing at the City Hall
in the City of Anaheim on February 15, 1963, at 2i00 0'clo~k P.M., notice of said
public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the M aheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.64, to hear and consider evidence
for and against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and make findings and
recommendations in connection therewith.
NOW, THFREF~RE, BE IT RFSOLVED that the Planninq Commission of the City of Anaheim
recommends to the City Council a change in name for Savoy Place, a cul-de-sac street.
in Tract No. 5262 now being developed to Drury Place, based on the foregoing facts.
THE FORPGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 25th day of February,
