EpST WHEREAS, the City P2anning Commission of the City of Anaheim did recomnend to the City Council of the City of Maheim the adoption of a general alignment of La Pa1ma Avenue in General Plaa Amendment No. 38 on September 14, 1964 in Resulution No. 1337, Series 1964-65; and Wfi~~, th,~ City Council of the City of Anaheim on Qctober 20, ?964 in Resolution ; No. 64R-771 did approve Generai Plan Amendment No. 38, Alternate Route "A"; and YYHIItEAS, subsequent to the adoption of the General Alignment, potential development of the industrial area has established an imnediate need for a Pre:ise Alignment for La Palma Avenue; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pubiic hearing at the City Hall in the City oi Maheim on June 7, 1965 at 2s00 0'clock PoM., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed Precise Alignment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations ~ in conr-ertion therewith; and WHFREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by I itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered ~ at sa~d hearing, does herEay find and determine the following factss ~ lo That the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department has prepa~ed the Precise Alignment of La Palma Avenue (extended) as depicted on Exhibit "A" i on f ile in the Engineering Divisiono ~ 2. That said Precise Alignment begins at Jefferson Street on the west, travels 3n I a northeasterly direction as a reverse curb along the edge of the property ~ J~--~+~ Orange County Water District Spreading Basin. ~ 3. That the alignroent then coincides with existing Walnut Street and continues as a City arterial highway to the easterly City limits of Fee M a Stxeet. 4. That the..Orange County Road Dep.artment proposes to proceed the measures to ~ establish the Precise Alignment for La Palma Avenue from Fee Ma Street easterly ~~ to Imper.ial Hi.ghway upon final action by the City of Anaheim. 5e That the P~recise Alignment as indicated on Exhibit "A" would be firmly established and pote~tial develope>s in the northeast industrial area and the Atwood Cone would have precise knowledge of the Primary Highway which Would serve them. 6. Street on the east as depicted on Exhibit "A" on file in the office of the City Engineer, reaffirming the adoption of Generai Plan Amendment No. 38, Alternative ~ "A", and based on the foregoing_findings.
