hereby recomrr,end to the City Council of the Clty of Anaheim an dmendment to Title 1R
ot the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter I~~04, GF..NERAL PROViS10NS, Section 1~e04.060(6)

(6) 'Che maintaining of birds and animals fo: domestic non-commercial
use shall be permi+,ted in the R~A, R-0 and R-E Zones only, and
; said birds or animals shall not be maintained in coopsy pens or
stables or other quarters within forty (40) feet of any window
or door of any building used for human habitation oi• within
'~ twenty (20) feet of side lot lines. Further, the maintaining
' of such birds or animals shall be subject to ~he provisions of
i Chapter ~~Ofl and the followi~ga
~ ;
~ i (a) P~ultryy rabbits and cavies shall not exceed 24 birds or
~ ani~als per acre~

(b) Horses shall not exceed two adult animals and their immature
, offspring on a minimum one ecre sitee
~ (c) Cattle, sheep and goats shall be permitted on parcels of
~ ~ land five (5) acres or more in area; however, the number
~ ' of such animals shall not exceed a total of 'two (2) per
~ ~ each acre."

WHEREAS, studles have been inltiated ta determine whether or not certain sections
of' Title 1Ry ot the AnahE~im Municipal Codc were in need of upd~ting and further clari-
fic~tion of the languayc~s and
WHEREA5,, as a result of a port.lon ~f said studies it: was determined that ali
portions referriny to th~ m~~intenance of birds ~nd animals for domestic non-commerical
use in the R-•E,, RESID~NCIAL ESTA~f~Y ZONE should be incorporated In Section 1~,OQ~020
(6) USE and
WFIEREAS., upon presentatton oi' the recommended changes to the Planninc~ Commission,
it was determined that the proposed change was ner.essary in the inclusion of that portion
of the R~-F..y RESIDENTIAL FSTAI'E5, ZONE into t.he aforemeritioned Seci:fon; and
WHf:RFAS,, the Clty Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim on September 27 and October lA, 1965 at 2:00 0'clock P~M.,
