PC 66-104RESOI.UTION NO. PC66-104 A RESOT.UTION OF THE CITY PI.ANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAi. PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 52 BE APPROVED ~ -~;, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by Resolution No. 63R-£i69, showing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future development and redevelopment of land within the City; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the Ci±y of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Reclassification No. u4-65-97, v,~hich petition has implications on policies as expressed on said General Plan; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with the notice of the hearings on said recl~ssification notice was also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general :oc:ation and vicinity of subject property of said reclassification; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold pubiic !~earinqs at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on March 1, 1965, September 12 and September 26, 1966, at 2:00 0'clock P.M., notice of said public hearings having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider ev~dence for and against said Amendment to the General Plan and said proposed Petition for Reclassification to investigate and make findinqs and recommendat- ions in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation and study made by itself and in its behalf and after due considerztion of all evidence and reports offered at said fiearings, DOES HEREBY FIND 1. That th~ present general description and extent of land uses in the aforementioned area inadequately represents past and current City policies regarding possible future development of said general area around the intersection of Sycamore and East Streets. 2. That evidence was pr2sented at said hearing which would justify the City Planning Cornmission recommending a change in the above-mentioned policies to the City Council. ~ 3. That Exhibit "A" of General Plan Amendment No. 52 does constitute an acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the General Plan. ~ . ~ I .:y ,i ~~~ ~ ~ ~' ~ 4 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of the Citv of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim tt;at subject ~eneral Plan Amendment be ~iisapproved on Lhe basis of the aforementioned findings.
