A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ~MMISSION OF TH~ CITY OF ANAHEIM
REOOMMENDING TO THE CITY ~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT TH~
RBQUEST FOR ABANDONM~NT OF THE D~DICATION OF V~EFiICULAR AND
PE~~FSTRIAN ACCESS RIGHTS TO BUENA VISTA STRH~I' BE DENI~
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission at public hearing did recommend denial of the
request for deletion of deed restrictions which now limit the use of subject property to
business and professional uses, to permit the full range of commercial uses; and
~ WIi~REAS, the petitioner was ro osin to
y p p g provide access to Buena Vista Street, a
~ local residential street, from ne proposed dairy bar, walk-up restaurant, and office
building; and
i' WHEREAS, the Commission deems the request for abandonment of the dedication of
pedestrian and vehicular rights to Buena Vista Street detrimental to the residents of
ihe single family homes easterly of subject property, due to the fact tha't commercial
traffic will be introduced onto a local street, which is not intended to accommodate
commercial traffic; and
WH~REAS, Buena Vista Street, immediately to the east o; subject property has con-
side~able curve which limits the view of motorist and pedestrians thereby making traffic
flow very hazardous if ingress and egress were per;~itted to the commercial property
at that :r~tersection.
NOW, THER~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVID that the City Planning Commission of the City of
Analieim does hereby recommend to th2 City Council of the City of Anaheim that the
~ request for abandonment of the dedication of pedestrian and vehicular rights to Buena
+ Vists Street, in conjunction with Reclassification No. 66-67-32 be disapproved on the
basis of the foregoing findings.
