A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANIJING OO~AMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECJOMN!~NDING
TO THE CITY ~UNCIL OF THE C1TY OF ANAHEIM A SI'REET NAME CHANGE FOR A PORTIOtJ
OF BLUE GUM STR~ET TO BLUE GUM WAY, THER~1'0

WHEREAS, with the completion of the T.a Palma Avenue overcrossing of tte River~ide
Free~Nay, the oriyinal rigF,t-of-way of Blue Gu~~+ Street was cul-de-saced at t}~e terminus,
and a new riyht-of-way ~xas established; and
WHEREAS, to avoid confusion in having two streets named Blue Gum Street in this
general vicinity a street name change is necessary for the w 1-de-sac portion of the
oriyinal aligr.ment; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pu'+~lir haaring at the City Hall
in the City of Anat~eim on November 21, 1966, at 2:00 0'clock P.M.~ notice of said public
hearing having been duly given as required by law, to hea: and consider evidence for and
against said streat name chan9e, and to investigat~ and ma}:e findinys and recommendations
in connection therewith; and
6VHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspactio~, irvestigation, and study made by
i.tself and in it;s behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports o'rfered
at said hearing, does find and determine the following fac'..s:
1, That the ne~n~ aliqnment of Blue Gum Street lies easterly of the old
alignment and is ti•,ithin tt~e jurisdiction of the County of Orange;
2. 7'hat the small cul-de-sac portion terminates at the old aligr.ment of
La Palma Avenue.
3. That the small cul-de-sac portion under consideratiai is approximately 125
feet in length.
4. Ttiat no orie appeared in opposil;ion to subject petition.
MOVJ, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend
Co the City Council of ttie ~ity of Anaheim that the small cul-de-sac portion of the original
alignment. of Blue Gun~ Street extending southerly from a point approximately 650 f~et south
of Coronado Street to the north side of the original alignment of La Palma Avenue, be changed
t,o Biue Gum Way.
