That ttie Anaheim Planning Commission on August 1, 1966, recommended to the City Council that Dowling Avenue within the Anaheim City Limits be renamed Kraemer Boulevard northerly of the Riverside Freeway. 2. That the Ci.ty Coun~il on August 23, 1966, concurred in the Planning Commission's recommendation and forwarded said recommendation to the Orange Couniy Street Naming Committee. 3. That because the off-rampsfor both Kraemer Boulevard and Glassell Street northerly and southerly are at different locations, no difficulty will be encountered in the signing of the Riverside Freeway with both names. 4. That because there has been a minimum amount of industrial develop- ment along Dowling Avenue, a change in street name at this time would present no serious problem. 5. That two persons appeared in opposition, one of whom requested that if a street is to. be assigned to this thoroughfare vahich traverses the cities of Brea, Placentia, Anaheim, Orange, and Santa Ana, agree- ment st~ould be reached to the assignment of one name for the street. ~~~ ~ ~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission does hereby rerommend to the City Cour~cil of the City of Anaheim that Dowling Avenue within the jurisdiction of the City of Anaheim be renamed Kraemer Boulevard at such time as jurisdictions northerly of the Riverside Freeway agree to the street name change to Kraemer Boulevard.
