A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECGMMENDING

WHERFAS, Riverdale Avenue does not have a precise alignment established for that
portion within the City of Anaheim fro~n its existing terminus to the westeriy boundary
of Tract No, 5409; and
7~i~REAS, the Public Works Department, Engineering Division has prepared the precise
alignment oF Riverdale Avenue as depicted on Exhibit "B" extending from the centerline
of the Riverside Freeway extending easterly approximately 1955 feet to the westerly
boundary of Tract No. 5409 within the City of Anaheim, and from the easterly boundary
of Tr~ct No, 5409 extending easterly approximately 265~ feet to Taylor Street within
the County of Orange; and
`Jrl-~REAS, the City Planning Commission did hoid a public hearing at the Gity Hall
in the City of Anaheim on Aurust 1.5~ 1966, at 2:00 0'clock P.Mo, notice of said public
hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisi~ns
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said
establishment of a precise alignment for Riverdal.e Avenue, and to investigate and make
findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
Wf~REAS~ said Commission after due inspection, investigation and study made by
itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and :eports offered
at said hearing C,OES HEREBY FIND
la That t'ie City of Anaheim has approved development of p~operties easterly
of tt~e~ Riverside Freeway extending to Tract No. 5409, which would include
River~iale Ave~ue as part of its circulation pattern.
2. That tl~e Planning Commission recomme.~ded in Resolution Noe PC66-55 dated
August i5, 1966 the establishment of Riverdale Avenue as an exception to
the Table of Exceptionsof the Circ•~~iation Element - Hinhway Rights-uf-Way
proposing an 80-foot street ra'cher than a 90 foot street which the City
has for secondary highwayso
3a That the Cour,ty of Orange ae urged to adopt the precise alignment of
Riverdale Avenue within its jurisdiction and as depicted on Exhibit "B"
prepared by the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works
of the City of Anaheim.
4. Tl~at no one appeared in opposition to subject petition.

NOW, THEREF~RE, BE I7 RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Counci2 of the City of Anaheim that the precise
alignment for Riverdale Avenue as depic±ed on Exhibit "B" extending from the Riverside
Freeway approximately 1955 feet easterly to the westerly boundary of Tract No. 5409
within the City of Anaheim city limits.
BE IT FURTHER R[SOLVED that the City Council be uzged to recr,mmend to the CoLnty of
Orange the establishment of a precise alignment of Riverdale Averiue from the easterly
boundary of Tract No~ 5409 approximately ?_654 feet easterly to Taylor Street as depicted
on Exhibit "B" on file in the City of Anaheim, Development Services Department.
