WHEREAS, the City Planning Commissian did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
July.31, 1°67, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing heving been duly given as required by
law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
and ageinst said proposed variance and to investigete and make findings end recommendetions in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, seid Commission, after due inspection, investigetion, and study mede by itself and in its behalE,
and after due consideration c+f all evidence and repoRs otfered at seid hearing, does find and determine the Eo~owing
fac[s:
_;~ 1. That the petitianer requests a veriance Erom the Anaheim Municipal Code: to oermit expansion o: an
existing non-conforming sign:
SEGTIOV 18.62 090(B-5) - Permitted sian location (sian is required to be a
minimum or ~8 f~ from the abutting orooerty line;

?. That there are no exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conoitions app:i~able

3. That the requested variance is not nece=_sary for the preservation and en;oyment of
a substant'.al prooerty right possessed 'oy other property in the same vicinity and zone, and
denied to the property in question.
4. That if subject oetition were aporoved, this could set a precedent for similar recue=_ts
for the expansion of non-conformina signs within the City, thereoy nulli:ying the sian ordi~anc~e
which is designed to eventually amortize r.on-con.`orming signs.
5. That no evidence was submitted proving a nardship would exist in ~ne signing of=_vt`,act
property if subject petition were not granted.
6. That no one aopeared in opoosition to subject oetition.
