PC67-17 A RESO~UTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ODMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT AN AMENDMENT TO THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL ODDE, TITLE 1A, ZONING BE MADE BY THE ADDITIO"J OF CHAPTFR iR.AS SPECIAL SEfBACKS, THERETO WHEREAS, in the formulation of the Commercial Recreation Zone it was determined that certain streets in the Commercia'. Recreation Area bo~nded by Vermont Street on the north, Walnut Street on the west, the Santa Ana Freeway on the east, and Orangewood Avenue on the south require special setbacks in order to enhance and develop this special area; and WHERTrAS, the City Plan~ino Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on January 16, 1967, a'_ 2:00 0'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provision< of the Anaheim N~un~cipal code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed amendment and to investigate ano make findings and recommendations in connection therewi~h; and WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and report=_ offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts: 1. That the exieting development in the Commerciai Recreation Area has mode Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue, and West Street key arterizl highways in and thru the area. 2. That the existing businesses froniino on Harbor Boulevard, within the Commercial Recreation Area, in most cases, have a fifty-foot setback with twenty ieet landscaped. 3. That the existing businesses fronting on Katella Avenue and West Streei wi.*.hin the Commercial Recreation Area, in most cases, have twenty foot landscaped setbzcks. 4. That representatives of Wali Disney Prod~ctions and other interested prooerty owners in the area were present to determine the impact of the proposed amendment as it pertained to their property, and offered no objections.
