A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 1910 BE DENIED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Aneheim did receive e verified Petition for Variance from
HUN~BLE OIL CAiv1PANY, ?. 0, box 1254, Orange, California 92608, Owner; BILL WINTERBERG, 923
Arlee Place, Anaheim, Cali.`ornia 92805, Agent of certain real property situated in the ~ity
of An3heim, County of Orange, State of Cali:`ornia, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto

; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold e public hearing et the City Hall in the City uf Anaheim on
August 28, 1967, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by
law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chaptec 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said proposed variance and to investigate end make findings and recommendations in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, seid Commission, after due inspection, investigation, end study made by itself end in its behalf,
and aEter due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following
facts:
1. That the peti!ioner requests a variance from the Anaheim Municipel Code to permit the erection of
two free-standing signs on suUject propertyo

2. Tnat there are no exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or corditions appli-
caUle to the property involved or to the intended use of the properi:y that do not appl~
generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
3. That high rise signs detract from the aesthetics of the city's skyline, '~!~ereby
destroying attempts at heautifying the City, especially along Harbor Bouleva^d.

NOW, THEREFORF., BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby deny subject
Petition for Variance on the basis of the aforementioned findings.
