property situated in the City of Anaheim, Courty of Orange, State of California, described as
that portion of Lot 30 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map of survey by YVilliam Hame1 and
iiled in the office of the County Recorder of Los Anoeles County, California. Beginnina at ~
point in the center line of West Street, 66 fe:et in width, distant thereon 2G1.R5 :eet Piorth-
erly from the intersection of said center line: with the center line of Ball Road, 60 feet in

__ WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a public hearing et the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
January 30, 1967 at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice af said public hearing having been duly given as required by
law and in accordence with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chepter 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said proposed variance and to investigate and make Eindings and recommendetions in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study mede by itself and in its behalf,
and efter due consideration of all evidence and reports ofEered at seid hearing, does find and determine the following
facts:
1. That the prtitioner requests e variance from the Aneheim Municipel Code: 7~ permit the construct ion
of a sign on =ubject oroperty.
SECTION 1R.62.090(B-2i - h1aximum permit.ted sign height (25 feet permitted; 70
feet proposed;
2. That there a.re no exceptional or exi;raordinary circum=tances or conoitions applicai%1e
to the property involved or to the :~tended use of ihe prooerty that do not apply gene:ally
to tne property or class of use in the same v;cinit~~ and zone.
3. Th~t the requested variance will be materialiy detrimental to the public viel:a:e
and ?njurious to the praoerty or improvements in =uch vicinity and zon•~ in which tFe
property is located.
4. That the lignts from tne nroposed sign will have a deleterious affect on the peace,
health, and general wel`are of the ~ingle :a~r~ily residents in the vicinity of subject prope:ty.
5. That the proposed sign, i: approve~ at the height requested, might estatli=_h an
undesirable precedent for similar requests f:•om service staticns and other commercial t:ses
:n close proximity.
6. That the sign is proposed at a suff:cient distance .`rom the freeway to e:.`ectively
negate the vaiue o:` the proposed :^.eight for purposes of :reeway exposure.
7. That one oerson apoeared in opposit`_on to subject petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby deny subject
Petition for Variance on the basis of the aEorementioned findings,
