A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 1984 gg GRA:JTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Varience f:om
D]EIGHBORS RqIdCHES, 633 Pine Way, Anaheim, California 92805, OWner of certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County o; Orange, State of California, described as Lot Pdos.
5 and 6 of Tract No. 483
; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
Mdy 20, 1968, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by
law and in accordance withthe provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chepter 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings ~nd recommendations in connection therewith;
and
IUHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf,
and after due consideration oE efl evidence and reports oifered at said hearing, does find and determine the following
facts:
1. That the petitioner requests a variancc Erom the Anaheim Municipel Code as `ollows, in order to permit
the outdoor storage of pool cnemicals in con,junctien with the oaeration o` the existing po~1
supply comoany:
SECTION 18.40.020 - Perm:tted uses. (The G 1 Zone requires that a11 uses except service
stations and oermitted outdoor uses shall be conducted wholly within
a building; petitioner proposes to store ooods outside o: the
commcrc~al ;c;;ding;.
SEGTI0~1 18.40.040 - Outdoor uses. (The proposed activity is not a oarmitted outdoor
use in the C-1 Zone).
2. That there are exceptional or er.traordinary circumstances or conditions ao~licable to
the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not apoly generally to the
property or class of use in th? szme vicinity and zone.
3. That the requested variance is necessary for the oreservation and enjoyment of a
substantial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied
to the property in question.
4. That the requested variance will not be material~y detrimental to the public we1`are or
injurious to the property or imorovements in such vicinity and zone in which the property is
located.
5. That subject oroperty is not served by an al?ey, and at the time ~he ~uildir,g was
expanded "drive-thru" facilities were incorporated into the structure in order that suoplies
could be delivered to the rear of the building.
6. That the granting of subject petition, permitting outdoor storage in the C-1 Zone, sha11
not be construed as setting a precedent :or similar requasts because of the unique circumstances
applicable to subject property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Aneheim City Plenning Commiaston does hereby grant subject
Petition for Veriance, upon the following conditions which ere hereby found to be a necoasary prerequisite to fhe pro-
posed use of the subJect property in order to preeerve the safety and general welfare of the Citlzens of the City of
Anaheim:
1. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
specifications on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit Nos. 1 and 2.
