PC 68-164~ RESOLUTION N0, PC68-164 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COM1v1ISSI0N OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ~?ECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAL PLAN AMF~IpMEM' N0. 102 BE DISAPPROVED WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by Resolution No. 63R-869, showing the general desr:iption and exter~ of land uses within the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future develop- ment and redevelopment of land within the City; and ;i :`~ ~ i ~ ~ ~ t WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did initiate a verified Petition for Reclassification No. 67-68-95, which petition has imolications on policies as expressed on said General Plan; and WHEREAS, in addition to the notice of the hearing on said reclassification notice was also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general location and vicinity of subject property of said reclassification; and WHEREAS, the C;ty ?lanning Commission did hold z public hearinq in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on June 3, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the P.naheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said ~mend- ment to the General Plan and said oroposed Petition .`or reclassification and to inv~,tigate 2nd mab:e :indings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made"uy~• itself and in its behalf and after due consideration o: all evidence anri reports offered at said hearing, does hereby find 1. That the present general description and extent uf land uses in the aforementioned area adequately represents p=_,t and current City pcticies regarding possible future development of said general area, describ~d as: bounded on the north by Harle Avenue; on the east by a line approximately 155 feet east of the centerline of Brookhurst Street; on the south by ti;~ Southern California ~dison Co.r.p;;n~ po~ver easement; and on *.he west by Broou'~urst Street. 2. That no evidence was presented at said hearing which would justify the City Planning Commission recommending a change in the above mentioned policies to the City Council at the present time. 3. That Exhibit "A" of General Plan Amendment No. 102 does not constitute an acceptable alternative to current policies as il~ustrated on the General Plan. , r ~::• •. ' ~l `\ ~ i _.: ~ ,. - ~ ~ NOW, THHREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim does herieby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that subject General Plan Amendment be disapproved on the basis of the aforementioned findings.
